More Intelligible Speech with LSVT LOUD
An evidence-based, and effective treatment for adults, targeting increased vocal loudness to improve intonation, articulation, speech intelligibility, voice quality, facial expression, and changes in neural function related to voice and speech. Designed originally for people with Parkinson’s disease, the versatility of LSVT LOUD steps from its core principles: intensive treatment, single-target focus (volume), neuroplasticity-driven, personalised to interests, and functional carryover of gains to the real world. Sasha Sugita and David Kinnane are both certified to deliver LSVT LOUD. Read or hear more
Better Understanding and Self-Expression with targeted language therapy
Oral language involves listening and speaking and includes speech sounds, words (vocabulary), word associations (semantics), form (word forms and syntax), and use (e.g. conversations, story-telling, presentations, etc). Some people grow up with language disorders. Others acquire language difficulties, e.g. as the result of an injury, stroke, aging or a neurological condition, like Parkinson’s disease or dementia. With the right targets and approach, you can improve your understanding and use of language at home, work, and in the community. Read more
Clearer Speech with therapy based on principles of motor learning and neuroplasticity
Speech is a motor skill. Regardless of whether you have always had speech difficulties, or you have had an injury, stroke, or a neurological condition like Parkinson’s disease or dementia, you can improve your speech clarity with therapy based on motor learning principles and neuroplasticity. More Fluent Speech with the Camperdown Program (for adults who stutter)

In recent years, we’ve moved beyond a pure medical model of care that views stuttering as an “impairment” to be “treated” and have adopted a social model of care focused on supporting adults who stutter to feel supported, connected, mentally healthy, positive, and empowered to achieve their goals and to self-advocate. Our process is simple – and we’re here to help every step of the way
Fill out the online form or call us to tell us a bit about you and your needs. We’ll send you more information about our services and fees, and schedule a call with one of our speech pathologists so we can understand your immediate concerns and priorities.
We will welcome you into our friendly clinic, and do our best to get to the bottom of what’s going on and, with you, come up with a practical plan to do something about it. We work hard behind the scenes to take the ‘cold and clinical’ out of our clinic.
We’ll answer any questions about the results or action plan, then get to work directly with you, and your family to help achieve your goals. We’ll give you options, and always explain the evidence-base, risks and benefits of different approaches.
