Description
At around 48-54 months of age, typically developing children are able to express how objects, people and living things are the same by reference to attributes such as category, function/use, parts, and location. Some people – including people learning English as a second language, people with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and people with language disorders have difficulties understanding and/or expressing how two items – that often look very different – go together, or are the same.
This no-preparation 27-page pack is designed to help people who have difficulties identifying how two items are the same. Using words and pictures, this pack is designed to stimulate the development of semantic knowledge to help people of all ages to express how things are the same by reference to attributes – even when, superficially, they don’t look the same.
