Description
In this low-preparation pack, we include everything a student needs to say /r/ correctly using the latest research on applying principles of motor learning to speech. No more ‘gliding’ of /r/ to /w/!
To complete the /r/-Remedy, the student must complete four missions successfully:
Mission 1: Pre-practice 1: Hearing the /r/ sound clearly, and hearing the difference between /r/ and /w/.
Mission 2: Pre-practice 2: Learning tricks and hacks to say /r/ clearly, and deciding which one works best for the student.
Mission 3: Practice 1: Using the chosen /r/ hack to conquer the two-week /r/-nonsense syllable bootcamp.
Mission 4: Practice 2: Completing the training with two weeks of daily practice with the /r/-Remedy: a randomised program based on principles of motor learning targeting the /r/ sound at word, sentence and story levels.
The /r/-Remedy pack (zip file) includes:
-
-
a 34-page program;
-
151 flashcards with photographs of /r/ initial, medial and final words;
-
4 audio recordings (.m4a file format): three recordings with an Australian-accented female voice, and one with a North American-accented female voice; and
-
a dinosaur game board and dinosaur tokens.
