Description
At around 24 months, typically developing monolingual children start to understand and use the prepositions ‘on’, ‘between’, ‘above’, and ‘under’. At about 30-36 months, they start to speak in sentences composed of four units, including simple subject-verb-adverbial phrase-adverbial phrase (SVAA) sentences.
Some children benefit from extra support with early prepositions and SVAA sentences, including some children with language and learning disorders, and some children learning English as an additional language.
This resource is designed to provide scaffolded support to help children to work on early prepositions and SVAA sentences at the same time, with low stimulation pictures.
