Description
Sometimes, even gifted students start to struggle with maths when the language becomes more complex. One way to help students is to teach them the meaning of commonly used prefixes, suffixes and other words embedded in the vocabulary used in maths questions.
In this pack, we explain the meaning of “bi”, “tri”, “quad”, “ped” (foot), “annual” (year), “symmetry” (same around an axis), and “phonic” (sound), each illustrated with high quality photos. For more maths language, check out Maths Language 2.
