Description
Around the age of 48-54 months, typically developing children start to use the third person present verb “has” to express possession. Many people – including people learning English as a second language and people with language disorders, have difficulties using “has”.
In this 33-page no-prep sentence builder pack, we provide lots of scaffolded practice to help people understand and to use “has” correctly. Practice sentences are designed to model use of “has” in simple statements.
This is followed by a quiz to expose students to “who” and “what” questions containing “has”.
Finally, we recast the sentences as “Has X got Y” questions, to provide further practice understanding and making sentences with the word “has”.
With both pictures and words, this pack can be used with people of different ages and abilities.
