  • (E411) Slushy /s/ Zapper: A Lateral Lisp Treatment Resource

    $15.00 including GST

Lateral lisps are never developmentally appropriate and should be tackled as soon as possible. But, as most paediatric speech pathologists will attest, lateral lisps can be tricky to treat.

To make things easier for clients, families, and speech pathologists, we have produced the Slushy /s/ Zapper. The Slushy /s/ Zapper pack includes:

      • a 25-page program with 8 modules/parts/challenges;
      • 129 flashcards with photographs of /s/ initial, medial and final words; and
      • 9 audio recordings (.m4a file format, Australian-accent female voice).

Please note the zip file containing the Slushy /s/ Zapper is almost 12 MB. If your email system won’t allow for a file this size to be delivered to you, please purchase the Slushy /s/ Zapper from our Teachers Pay Teachers store where you can get direct access to the product.

  • The _k_ aspiration trick story (1)

(E414) A /k/-initial aspiration trick story (for velar fronting and /k/ articulation)

    $5.99 including GST

In this 16-page no-prep aspiration trick pack, we script out the technique to teach and shape /k/ in word initial position as a simple narrative to keep kids engaged. We target just six key words – a sufficient number of targets to stimulate generalisation to untreated words. We then include a home practice checklist/schedule to encourage further repetition between therapy sessions.

  • The Wolf Matthew The Beaver and the Moth

(F501) The Wolf Matthew, the Beaver, and the Moth: A Bilabial-Dental Story

    $2.99 including GST

In this pack, we target tongue movements, specifically movements from “bilabial” sounds where the lips are together (e.g. /p, b, m, w/) to sounds involving the tongue/lips and teeth (e.g. /f, v/, unvoiced “th” (as in “bath”) and voiced “th” (as in “bathe”)). We call these movements bilabial-dental movements.

This articulation story is designed to train specific speech sound movements. It is a not tongue twister in the traditional sense. Instead, this story is loaded with words and phrases designed to target a particular pattern of speech movement.

  • The Theatre Folk

    (F505) The Theatre Folk: A Dental-Alveolar Story

In this resource, we target movements involving sounds made with the teeth (e.g. /f, v/ and the voiced and voiceless “th” sounds) and sounds made with the tongue tip on or near the alveolar ridge at the front of the mouth (e.g. /t, d, s, z, n/).

This articulation story is designed to train specific speech sound movements. It is a not tongue twister in the traditional sense. Instead, this story is loaded with words and phrases designed to target a particular pattern of speech movement.
