This requires semantic knowledge of the key functions of objects, the ability to process negative questions, and the ability to justify their view using the conjunction “because” and their knowledge of object functions. This stimulates children to increase their knowledge of cause and effect relationships, problems and solutions, and supports students as they generate mental models of each scenario.
In this pack, we wrap the questions into a simple narrative format to make the task more cohesive and easier to understand in context. For each event, there are multiple logical answers, and no one “correct” answer – just like many events in the real world.
